How to uninstall or remove php-symfony software package from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus)

You can uninstall or removes an installed php-symfony package itself from Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove php-symfony 

Uninstall php-symfony including dependent package

If you would like to remove php-symfony and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove php-symfony 
Use Purging php-symfony

If you use with purge options to php-symfony package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge php-symfony 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove php-symfony
