berkshelf software package provides Addon for Chef to manage cookbooks and cookbook dependencies, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install berkshelf
berkshelf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the berkshelf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep berkshelf *
You will get with berkshelf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
