aosd-cat software package provides an on screen display tool which uses libaosd, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aosd-cat
aosd-cat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aosd-cat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aosd-cat *
You will get with aosd-cat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
