emelfm2 software package provides file manager for X/gtk, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install emelfm2
emelfm2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the emelfm2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep emelfm2 *
You will get with emelfm2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
