elog software package provides Logbook system to manage notes through a Web interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elog
elog is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elog package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elog *
You will get with elog package name, version, architecture and description in a table
