eject-udeb software package provides ejects CDs from d-i menu, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eject-udeb
eject-udeb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eject-udeb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eject-udeb *
You will get with eject-udeb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
