How to uninstall or remove edid-decode software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed edid-decode package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove edid-decode 

Uninstall edid-decode including dependent package

If you would like to remove edid-decode and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove edid-decode 
Use Purging edid-decode

If you use with purge options to edid-decode package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge edid-decode 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove edid-decode
