ecdsautils software package provides ECDSA elliptic curve cryptography command line tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ecdsautils
ecdsautils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ecdsautils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ecdsautils *
You will get with ecdsautils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
