dpatch software package provides patch maintenance system for Debian source packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dpatch
dpatch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dpatch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dpatch *
You will get with dpatch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
