How to uninstall or remove dos2unix software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed dos2unix package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove dos2unix 

Uninstall dos2unix including dependent package

If you would like to remove dos2unix and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dos2unix 
Use Purging dos2unix

If you use with purge options to dos2unix package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge dos2unix 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dos2unix
