How to uninstall or remove dns-root-data software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed dns-root-data package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove dns-root-data 

Uninstall dns-root-data including dependent package

If you would like to remove dns-root-data and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dns-root-data 
Use Purging dns-root-data

If you use with purge options to dns-root-data package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge dns-root-data 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dns-root-data
