diffuse software package provides graphical tool for merging and comparing text files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install diffuse
diffuse is installed in your system.
Make ensure the diffuse package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep diffuse *
You will get with diffuse package name, version, architecture and description in a table
