debpear software package provides automatically builds and installs PEAR package as Debian packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install debpear
debpear is installed in your system.
Make ensure the debpear package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep debpear *
You will get with debpear package name, version, architecture and description in a table
