How to uninstall or remove ddccontrol-db software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed ddccontrol-db package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove ddccontrol-db

Uninstall ddccontrol-db including dependent package

If you would like to remove ddccontrol-db and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ddccontrol-db

Use Purging ddccontrol-db

If you use with purge options to ddccontrol-db package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge ddccontrol-db

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ddccontrol-db
