How to uninstall or remove db5.3-sql-util software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed db5.3-sql-util package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove db5.3-sql-util

Uninstall db5.3-sql-util including dependent package

If you would like to remove db5.3-sql-util and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove db5.3-sql-util

Use Purging db5.3-sql-util

If you use with purge options to db5.3-sql-util package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge db5.3-sql-util

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove db5.3-sql-util
