cpu-checker software package provides tools to help evaluate certain CPU (or BIOS) features, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cpu-checker
cpu-checker is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cpu-checker package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cpu-checker *
You will get with cpu-checker package name, version, architecture and description in a table
