conky-std software package provides highly configurable system monitor (default version), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install conky-std
conky-std is installed in your system.
Make ensure the conky-std package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep conky-std *
You will get with conky-std package name, version, architecture and description in a table
