cd-discid software package provides CDDB DiscID utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cd-discid
cd-discid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cd-discid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cd-discid *
You will get with cd-discid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
