How to uninstall or remove binutils-multiarch software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed binutils-multiarch package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove binutils-multiarch

Uninstall binutils-multiarch including dependent package

If you would like to remove binutils-multiarch and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove binutils-multiarch

Use Purging binutils-multiarch

If you use with purge options to binutils-multiarch package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge binutils-multiarch

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove binutils-multiarch
