How to uninstall or remove beast2-mcmc software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed beast2-mcmc package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove beast2-mcmc 

Uninstall beast2-mcmc including dependent package

If you would like to remove beast2-mcmc and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove beast2-mcmc 
Use Purging beast2-mcmc

If you use with purge options to beast2-mcmc package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge beast2-mcmc 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove beast2-mcmc
