How to uninstall or remove avahi-autoipd software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed avahi-autoipd package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove avahi-autoipd

Uninstall avahi-autoipd including dependent package

If you would like to remove avahi-autoipd and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove avahi-autoipd

Use Purging avahi-autoipd

If you use with purge options to avahi-autoipd package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge avahi-autoipd

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove avahi-autoipd
