How to uninstall or remove autofs5-hesiod software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed autofs5-hesiod package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove autofs5-hesiod

Uninstall autofs5-hesiod including dependent package

If you would like to remove autofs5-hesiod and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove autofs5-hesiod

Use Purging autofs5-hesiod

If you use with purge options to autofs5-hesiod package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge autofs5-hesiod

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove autofs5-hesiod
