How to uninstall or remove alarm-clock-applet software package from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

You can uninstall or removes an installed alarm-clock-applet package itself from Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove alarm-clock-applet

Uninstall alarm-clock-applet including dependent package

If you would like to remove alarm-clock-applet and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alarm-clock-applet

Use Purging alarm-clock-applet

If you use with purge options to alarm-clock-applet package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge alarm-clock-applet

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alarm-clock-applet
