adwaita-icon-theme-full software package provides default icon theme of GNOME, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install adwaita-icon-theme-full
adwaita-icon-theme-full is installed in your system.
Make ensure the adwaita-icon-theme-full package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep adwaita-icon-theme-full *
You will get with adwaita-icon-theme-full package name, version, architecture and description in a table
