cfget software package provides featureful tool to read values from config files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cfget
cfget is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cfget package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cfget *
You will get with cfget package name, version, architecture and description in a table
