How to Install cernlib software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

cernlib software package provides CERNLIB data analysis suite - general use metapackage, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cernlib 

cernlib is installed in your system.

Make ensure the cernlib package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cernlib *

You will get with cernlib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
