brickos software package provides alternative OS for LEGO(r) Mindstorms RCX. Supports devel. in C/C++, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install brickos
brickos is installed in your system.
Make ensure the brickos package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep brickos *
You will get with brickos package name, version, architecture and description in a table
