avogadro-dbg software package provides Molecular Graphics and Modelling System (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install avogadro-dbg
avogadro-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the avogadro-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep avogadro-dbg *
You will get with avogadro-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
