altree-examples software package provides example files for ALTree, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install altree-examples
altree-examples is installed in your system.
Make ensure the altree-examples package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep altree-examples *
You will get with altree-examples package name, version, architecture and description in a table
