boinc-manager software package provides GUI to control and monitor the BOINC core client, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install boinc-manager
boinc-manager is installed in your system.
Make ensure the boinc-manager package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep boinc-manager *
You will get with boinc-manager package name, version, architecture and description in a table
