bash-static software package provides GNU Bourne Again SHell (static version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bash-static
bash-static is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bash-static package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bash-static *
You will get with bash-static package name, version, architecture and description in a table
