apsfilter software package provides Magic print filter with automatic file type recognition, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apsfilter
apsfilter is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apsfilter package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apsfilter *
You will get with apsfilter package name, version, architecture and description in a table
