icedtea-plugin software package provides web browser plugin to execute Java applets (dependency package), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icedtea-plugin
icedtea-plugin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icedtea-plugin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icedtea-plugin *
You will get with icedtea-plugin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
