aws-status software package provides txaws based graphical application for monitoring AWS service, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aws-status
aws-status is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aws-status package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aws-status *
You will get with aws-status package name, version, architecture and description in a table
