asterisk-mysql software package provides MySQL database protocol support for the Asterisk PBX, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install asterisk-mysql
asterisk-mysql is installed in your system.
Make ensure the asterisk-mysql package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep asterisk-mysql *
You will get with asterisk-mysql package name, version, architecture and description in a table
