How to uninstall or remove apcupsd-cgi software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed apcupsd-cgi package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove apcupsd-cgi 

Uninstall apcupsd-cgi including dependent package

If you would like to remove apcupsd-cgi and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apcupsd-cgi 
Use Purging apcupsd-cgi

If you use with purge options to apcupsd-cgi package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge apcupsd-cgi 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apcupsd-cgi
