How to uninstall or remove apache2 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed apache2 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove apache2 

Uninstall apache2 including dependent package

If you would like to remove apache2 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apache2 
Use Purging apache2

If you use with purge options to apache2 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge apache2 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apache2
