How to uninstall or remove ap-utils software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed ap-utils package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove ap-utils 

Uninstall ap-utils including dependent package

If you would like to remove ap-utils and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ap-utils 
Use Purging ap-utils

If you use with purge options to ap-utils package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge ap-utils 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ap-utils
