alsoft-conf software package provides OpenAL-Soft configuration utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install alsoft-conf
alsoft-conf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the alsoft-conf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep alsoft-conf *
You will get with alsoft-conf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
