How to uninstall or remove alsaplayer-esd software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed alsaplayer-esd package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove alsaplayer-esd

Uninstall alsaplayer-esd including dependent package

If you would like to remove alsaplayer-esd and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alsaplayer-esd

Use Purging alsaplayer-esd

If you use with purge options to alsaplayer-esd package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge alsaplayer-esd

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alsaplayer-esd
