How to uninstall or remove adns-tools software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed adns-tools package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove adns-tools 

Uninstall adns-tools including dependent package

If you would like to remove adns-tools and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove adns-tools 
Use Purging adns-tools

If you use with purge options to adns-tools package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge adns-tools 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove adns-tools
