389-ds software package provides 389 Directory Server Suite, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install 389-ds
389-ds is installed in your system.
Make ensure the 389-ds package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep 389-ds *
